Slow and Soft
I’ve spent the last couple Saturday mornings playing slow-pitch softball with a bunch of local guys who cuss and drink and smoke. It’s been pretty refreshing. Chels and I have been praying for more opportunities to make friendships outside the inevitable work/ministry bubble. With the help of a local co-worker who invited me to come play with his team, it seems like God is answering those prayers. And it’s certainly been great to get away from the concrete and into the dirt and grass for a little while. The weekend games come with enough competition to make this 30-year-old feel young again, and with enough sore muscles to make him feel old.
